I'm going the Scott's Pro Vista route this fall. I've tried all of the home remedies/cocktails - including not watering my lawn for a month during a drought, but the poa still lived. Until this year when I didn't try.. a combination of slightly over-applying AMS, & trinexelpac-ethyl while it was going through fungal pressure killed the annua and put the triv into hard dormancy. The RPR looks great - however my lawn looks awful - like swiss cheese. I know it'll come back - it always comes back. I hope the velocity works out for you! The struggle is real.

I’m curious if it just takes a very long time to work. I use Acclaim Extra on my Triv spots every Spring (labeled to control roughstalk bluegrass aka Triv) and it either kills the Triv or suppresses it to the point where I can’t see it anymore. Only downside is it basically nukes everything including my TTTF blades. But, the fescue always grows back thick and full with zero triv after. There’s still always some patches each Spring that come back but it seems to smoke most of it off since there’s less and less each year. But back to my original point, right when you think Acclaim did nothing after waiting weeks, it starts to show serious results around week 4-5 where the Triv looks like Hay at that point, burnt to the ground. Then by the 2 month mark, everything is usually filled back in with good grass. Curious if Velocity PM is a similar slowburn systemic that just takes time as well. Also, Acclaim does the same, stunts the growth of the sprayed spots for a few weeks

I think you waited too long in the season, my poa triv is already browning out as well with no applications of anything. The heat is killing it.

Thanks for the review. I used a greenworks 80v mower a couple of times for my business. Just not enough torque yet for high grass. Ended up back with honda gas. Never have looked back until the technology comes further.

Yawzi - I used all ingredients that you can pronounce and my yard looks great. 1/3 Top soil, sand, compost mix, light fertilizer, and lots of water. Thats all you need - I promise! Buy an auto water timer and its all done for you.

This may seem like a petty question, but how easy is it to empty the bag? The last 2 mowers I've had took A LOT of shaking to get the grass out.

That was one of the best reviews of this mower that I have seen. As an owner of this mower for two years, you nailed all the positives and negatives that I have encountered. From the dullish blade to the leaky mulching plug, the negatives are way less than the positives. I absolutely love everything about this mower and is one of the best purchases I have made. It has unbelievable power and performance without the minuses of gas and fuel. Though I’m not a big EV fan, when it comes to some of these lawn and garden tools, batteries have more advantages, with the possible exception of run time and cost of battery replacement which is the reason I don’t like EV’s. Since I am already in the Milwaukee platform, the batteries are less of a need, but still is a concern for when one dies. In theory, when one of those batteries dies, you could quite literally be paying for the price of a new gas push mower!..I have a $4000 zero turn here that sits because I love this push mower and its results so much!..Thanks for the great review!..Paul

I think the worry with the electric tools is the overall power and if they’ll have enough charge to get the job done. I like that they are much quieter and won’t bother the neighborhood as much as the gas tools.

thanks for this. I'm fighting nutsedge in my perennial beds. I painted Sedgehammer on each little piece of nutsedge I can find- since I'm afraid to spray over my expensive daylilies. After 4 days, nutsedge looks unhappy. I'm hoping after two weeks it will look dead. Suggestions?
